The City of South Jordan tests employees of any age.
It is the same at Provo City.
Lehi City is like Ogden, Tooele, and Syracuse, we test employees of all ages. Our rationale is that these employees are around and helping vulnerable residents of all ages--young and older. We have a responsibility to test everyone. We don't have very many negative results back, but prevention and deterring is effective too.
Tooele City does pre-employment drug testing for safety-sensitive employees of any age.
Our response for Ogden is the same as Shauna's -
Ogden sends new hires to WorkMed for a drug screen & physical. I called and confirmed with WorkMed and they no longer require a parental signature or approval before administering the drug screen or physical.
We do drug testing for all ages, we hire 14 years of age and older.
WorkMed used to require a parent's authorization for anyone younger than 16, I think it was but stopped requiring that a few years ago.
Sorry to ask this again if it has been asked.
What age do you do drug testing?
Specifically looking for information about seasonal employees (umpires, referees, concessions, etc.)
Thanks.
