    Hi Jennifer,

Our grades for FT employees have assigned steps (2.5% apart). Employees are eligible each year for an in-grade step increase upon successful completion of their performance review.

Our PT employee grades don't have assigned steps, but they are eligible for the same in-grade increase, which is applied as a percentage (as opposed to a step) at 2.5.

We also allow department heads to provide off-cycle in-grade pay increases up to the midpoint of the range at their discretion.

I hope this helps!  Reach out with any questions.

    Best,

Thank you! This is very helpful.

    Hello there!

What is everyone doing when it comes to in-grade advancement with their full-time and part-time employees? I'm currently working on a project to put together an in-grade advancement policy and wanted to see what everyone else was doing.

What have you guys found that works well for your full-time vs. part-time employees/what does your current in-grade advancement policy look like?

Any feedback or info is most welcome!

    Thanks!
