Since our April meeting on the topic of Unemployment Insurance, I have been on a mission to learn more. I had a lot of questions. I did find another resource: Employer Advocates, a firm with 25 years experience of helping employers with UI claims, appeals, etc.
I understand that UAC members already have this resource available to you.
I had have a few phone conversations with Steve Van Valkenburg, Director of Operations, in consultation about recent claims. With his experience, he shared about 40% of claims are not worth fighting. They can help with the 60% of claims and have a pretty good success rate of 80%.
I wanted to share this info after hearing many of the questions at the chapter meeting.
