Our crossing guards start at $18.91/hour and claim a minimum of 1 hour per shift.

Syracuse City pays $15.24-$20.95 per hour for crossing guards. 

The hours they claim depends on the location and the amount of time it actually takes them to cross.  It's a little complicated but the gist is: 

45 minutes or less they claim 1 hour

45 minutes to 1.25 hours they claim 1.5 hours

1.25 hours to 1.5 hours they claim 1.75 hours

1.5 hours to 1.75 hours they claim 2 hours 

2 hours they claim 2.5 hours

Our crossing guards are paid per shift, so two hours regardless if it's less than that.  Starting pay is $16.87 hourly.

We currently pay $14.56/per hour and pay 1 hour and a half per shift.
